Opportunity of applied research aboard of the International Space Station - preliminary Programme

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) together with the European Space Agency (ESA) are pleased to invite you to participate at the SURE Session - Announcement of Opportunity 2006 Information Workshop, which will be held in Bucharest, at the Romanian Academy Library hall on the day of Thursday, 16 February 2006, from 10 a.m.. ESA SURE program management will present a unique opportunity at this time to conduct applied research on board of the International Space Station (ISS).

It will be presented the 2006 Opportunity Notice, through whch the scientific organizations and SMEs will have priority access to the International Space Station and will receive financial support from the European Commission for applied research aboard the ISS..

The SURE Project - The International Space Station: a Unique Research Infrastructure - is included in the Framework Programme 6. The facilities and resources available aboard the station helps not just to implement high-level research, but offers the possibility that SMEs specialized in Biotechnology, Health, materials, Nanotechnology and other sectors to improve their competitive advantage by using the space environment as a platform for research and application development.
