The National Authority for Technological Innovation (Israel)
On January 1, 2016, The National Authority for Technological Innovation was established in Israel. The new entity is a statutory authority, set up by law to exercise the Israeli Government policy in technological innovation and to unite the activities of the OCS and MATIMOP under one roof. By having the status of a statutory corporation, the authority will be able to give maximum professional support and flexibility to government efforts to encourage technological innovation, complementing the major role that Israel already plays in the global high-tech sector. The National Authority for Technological Innovation is responsible and implements the various agreements between the Government of the State of Israel and European Government and its personnel also operate ISERD.
ISERD was established by the Israeli Government to implement the R&I cooperation between the EU and Israel in the framework of the former Framework programs and now the Horizon 2020 program. This cooperation is based on a formal association agreement. ISERD plays a vital role in future policy and collaborative efforts concerning R&I programs between the EU and Israel, ISERD coordinates the activities of Israel's delegates to the various programme committees managing H2020. ISERD records, conducts follow-up efforts and reports on the Israeli participation in the EU R&I programs to Israel's policy-making bodies and government institutions. ISERD’s representatives have also been operating as the Israeli National Contact Points since the 4th Framework Programme.
ISERD actively disseminates information, enhances industrial cooperation, promotes partnership searches and provides advice and guidance to Israel's R&I community in industry and research institutions. ISERD organizes events such as seminars, conferences and info days, and publishes information on the web via newsletters and articles in specialized magazines.

Riga Technical University, Institute of Materials and Structures – RTU (Latvia)
Riga Technical University (RTU) is one of the oldest institutions of higher engineering education in Eastern Europe. RTU comprises 8 faculties, 35 institutes, 49 departments, 29 laboratories with total of 860 research staff. At present moment RTU has roughly 15,000 students in all fields of engineering, focusing on both education and R&D. The Institute of Materials and Structures (IMS) share more than 30 years’ experience in the field of design, analysis, optimisation and physical testing of advanced composite materials and structures. In this regard an experience and proven expertise have been accumulated from over twenty Framework Programme research and coordination projects in fields of transport including aeronautics and material research. During the FP7 and in H 2020 members of institute acted both as NCP and PC for thematic related to aeronautics, space and security.
