The 6th International Workshop on Numerical Modelling in Aerospace Sciences, “NMAS 2018”

on 15 May 2018

Between 16 and 17 May 2018, the 6th International Workshop on Numerical Modelling in Aerospace Sciences, “NMAS 2018”, will take place in Bucharest. The event is organised by the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), the National Institute for Aerospace Research “Elie Carafoli” (INCAS) and the Politehnica University of Bucharest.

The 2-day workshop focuses on numerical simulations and their application in aerospace sciences both in launcher and satellite design and construction. The workshop is addressed to professors, engineers, researchers and interested students. Presentations from both academia, as well as industrial partners will be given.

The President of the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), Dr. Phys. Marius-Ioan Piso, will open the workshop on Wednesday, 16 May, in the “Elie Carafoli” Amphitheatre at INCAS’s headquarters, together with the President of INCAS, Catalin Nae, as well as Nicolae Jula (Military Technical Academy), Sorin Radnef (INCAS) and Florin Mingireanu (ROSA).

Throughout the two days, participants will tackle topics such as:

1 – launchers propulsion technologies and simulations of rocket engines

2 – flight dynamics simulation

3 – modelling of structural problems in aerospace airframes

4 – system design for small satellites.
