ROSA President attended the Asia-Pacific Initiative Partnership for the knowledge economy meeting

On 4 October 2017, the President of the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), Dr. Phys. Marius-Ioan Piso, participated at the first Asia-Pacific Initiative – Partnership for the knowledge economy meeting. The event aims to strengthen and expand cooperation between Romania and states in the Asia – Pacific area, by stimulating cooperation across various sectors such as research and innovation, but also education and economy (transport, infrastructure, energy, financial-banking, tourism).

The event was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in collaboration with Idea Factory Think Tank, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics ICI Bucharest and the Romanian Exporters Association.

Participants at the event included also: the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teodor Meleșcanu, the Minister of Business, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Ilan Laufer, the President of the Competition Council, Bogdan Chiriţoiu, the President of Politehnica University in Bucharest, Mihnea Costoiu, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, Mihai Daraban, accredited ambassadors in Romania of states in the Asia-Pacific area, as well as representatives of partner institutions from the business and academic sectors.
