As a European Union (EU) State and a European Space Agency (ESA) Member State, Romania has access to the Open Science Earth Observation (OSEO) call, launched for Earth Observation (EO) scientists.
Proba – V, a small-sized satellite of the European Space Agency (ESA), was launched on 7 May 2013 with the purpose of mapping land cover and vegetation growth on the entire planet, every two days.
